Mende name for a masker associated with the men's Poro society (q.v.). In appearance it is hard to distinguish from Gbeni/Gbini (q.v.) and it is not certain that it always represents a separate masquerade as opposed to being an alternative name for the same masquerade. Gittins (see below) describes it as the secular equivalernt of Gbeni.
