Potsherd

A potsherd found in an abandoned village near Bunumbu. This was found by Thomas M. Newman, an archaeologist based in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Oregon. While visiting Sierra Leone to conduct an archaeological survey in 1960-61, he was temporarily associated with Fourah Bay College. Newman wrote a short report of his survey in The West African Archaeological Newsletter , No. 4, March 1966, pp.19-22.
