Horn Snuff Container

A horn snuff container, complete with four iron spoons incised with patterns, an iron pick and an iron wire pendant. It was formerly the property of the late Chief Kailundu, or Kai Londo. Kai Londo was a famous warrior and chief of Luawa; an extensive territory on what became Sierra Leone's eastern border with Liberia. Kailahun was named after him, translated as Kai's town .
