Female Figure with Child

Described in the museum's catalogue as a Kuimi nursing mother figure (Mende). The carved female figure has scarification marks on her cheeks and torso. She has an extended navel; neck rings; and three rings of beads carved around her hips. She wears a metal chain around her neck. A small child is held to her back by her left hand.
