Ghanaian Terracotta Head
A terracotta head, thought to have been excavated from the former Ashanti area in Ghana. The Sierra Leone National Museum records that the head was used in connection of the burial of Queen Mothers , and is thought to date to the 16th century. It was donated to the museum by Mr. R.B. Nunoo, Director of Ghana Museums and Monuments.
