Sword and Sheath
A sword and sheath. Both the sword handle and sheath are made from worked leather. The sword has an aluminium pommel. The sheath is decorated with semicircle designs and leather ribbing. It is attached to plaited leather thongs for carrying the sheath, these feature three decorative tassels and various buttons with stitched raffia decorations. The sword and sheath were donated to the Sierra Leone National Museum by Siaka Stevens.
