Yoruba Drum
This drum is unusually small, measuring 406mm in length. The Sierra Leone Museum records note that it was taken to Cuba during the period of transatlantic slave trading, and has Yoruba origins. It was donated to the national museum by the Ambassador of Cuba in 1978. The drum body is made of wood, and either end has raw hide stretched over it.
