Bolon Bata
This is a rather damaged example of a bolon bata. The bolon or bolon bata is a bow instrument that normally has three strings three strings of different pitch and a large calabash for its sound box. They often have a metal extension at the top, which has small metal rings threaded through that vibrate when the strings are plucked. The strings are plucked with the thumbs.
