Historical wax cylinder recording made by Northcote Whitridge Thomas, a British government anthropologist who conducted field research in Sierra Leone in 1914-15. NWT672 (Limba on box). 1. Announcement: Record 672, Odumba [?], September 3rd 1914. 2. Ref tone. 3. Unaccompanied male vocal group with leader. NB It is not clear whether the language is East Limba or West Central Limba. Reasonable quality recording but cylinder cracked and glued. C51/3062 is probably the master, C51/3063 is a duplicate.
