Pair of Sebe Braclets

A pair of bracelets, each baring a either charm/amulet, or sebe/sebbeh: the Mende and Temne name for charm/amulet. They are made from Mandingo leatherwork, which is traditionally associated with Muslim elites in the North of Sierra Leone. They consist of a thin braided leather strap, holding a small rectangular box.
