Warri Board Game
Warri is a board game, variants of which are played all over Africa. The Sierra Leone version consists of a carved wooden board in which two rows of six cups are set alongside one another, with two larger receptacles at either end. This example is typically boat shaped, and rests in a high stand. A four legged animal, possibly a pig, stands between the legs of the stand and supports the middle section of the board. It comes complete with a cotton bag of bean counters.
