Leather Sebe
A leather charm/amulet, or sebe/sebbeh: the Mende and Temne name for charm/amulet. It consists of a pendant connected to six loops of plaited leather strands affixed to a cloth covered leather button. The pendant is made from horn, part of which is encased in crocodile skin. Alldridge's notes state that the sebbeh was worn by a Mende Chief.
