Arabic Muslim chant
Ethnomusicological sound recording made by Cootje van Oven. Arabic Muslim chant, sung by an all male group, as pictured in the photograph. This item appears to be a prayer as it would be chanted in the Mosque. It was recorded on the first day of Ramadan. Some of the singers are Temne, others Loko, but the language is of course Arabic.
