Rice Scoop
A soft wood spoon with burnt designs on the handle, and around the rim of the spoon. Wooden spoons, like this one, have been called rice scoops in other collections, for example, those held by Glasgow Museums. The spoon was collected by C.D. Hotobah During, a well-known Krio Barrister who spent many years based in Freetown.
