Congolese Pouch
This is a Congolese Baluba gun powder pouch, made from animal skins. It is thought to have been collected by the Sierra Leonean contingent of the United Nations, who were in the Congo in the early 1960 s. It was taken from the Bakwanga area in the South Kasai province.
