Jekei
Jekei are played in pairs. They are a type of rattle comprising baskets filled with cowrie shells and held by long handles. The baskets are surrounded by raffia. The desired rattle of the shells in the basket is produced by rhythmic shaking. According to Cootje van Oven, who recorded jekei being played in Bagbe Chiefdom, Bo District, jekei are played for chiefs and warriors.
