Loko Figure
This unusual item consists of a double sided figure, representing a women on one side, and a man on the other, with another figure standing on the first figure's head. The double sided nature of this piece resembles some Gbangbani carvings, such as the trumpet in the British Museum's collection, accession number BM:Af.1972.41.1. The Gbangbani society is a predominantly male society in Limba and Loko areas, though his item is described as a Loko Ndondo figure, by the original Sierra Leone National Museum records.
