Amulet
The original records described this as a Muslim charm . The object is wrapped in Arabic script and contained a horn which protrudes from the top, and is surrounded by brown fur. The object is likely to contain other herbs, or medicines. Amulets, such as this one, are hung over the door, or from the ceiling, to protect the house and the family from harmful spirits.
