Tortoise Shell
This is a small white tortoise shell. It was collected by the Sierra Leone National Museum as part of a number of objects illustrating the flora and fauna of Sierra Leone. Tortoise shells are also worn as part of the ritual or magical paraphernalia of some male societies.
