Female Figure
This is an unusual figure, carved in light wood. She has scarification lines carved onto her stomach, and unusual hairstyle, which has been damaged, along with her right leg. There are residues of black paint, possible graphite. This was originally part of the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum collection. It was acquired by the British Museum in 1954.
