Amulet

This is recorded as an amulet , though it is unknown whether it contains any spiritual power. It is made from Mandingo leatherwork, which is traditionally associated with Muslim elites in the North of Sierra Leone. It has a red leather four-pointer star, attached to the necklet with two leather covered balls and two cylinders. The neck chord is made from twisted straps if black leather.
