Gongoli Mask
This mask is probably a gongoli, or kongoli, mask, though it is not typical. It has cusp ears carved flat against the face and a small bell attached to the left ear. It has protruding lips which unusually point downwards. The gongoli masquerader comes out to provide light entertainment, particularly during more solemn occasions such as funerals. It is not particular to any cultural group in Sierra Leone.
