Cement Ball with Iron Nails
This curious object is recorded in the Sierra Leone National Museum accession registers as a Juju Boundary Dispute Item . It is a cement ball into which is stuck 13 long nails. The heads of the nails have been buried in the cement and the sharp ends protrude. It was found by the donor's son on the boundary between her property and that of the next door neighbour. After much investigation it was discovered to be a juju or magical charm used in boundary disputes.
